About the Workshop
Workshop info
Girls Act is our activist art programme. Art has a powerful history as a vehicle for social change and to encourage a sense of community. Girls learn to speak up about the issues that concern THEM. We use writing prompts to come up with inspirational slogans. Then we raid the treasure trove of fabrics, trimmings and felt at Tex Innovation located right next door. We will then use a combination of sticking and sewing to create a personal pennant to take home and a banner that will live in the Girls Assemble Workshop.
